Can AI watch my receivables and catch underpriced repair orders?

Auto Advisor's Finance agent buckets your open receivables into current, 30, 60, and 90+ days, drafts chase messages for the oldest, and runs a leakage scan on closed repair orders that flags below-floor labor rates, over-policy discounts, and zero-dollar closes with the dollars at stake. It has no code path that can move money.

What it does

What does the Finance agent actually do?

Watches the money you already billed: ages every unpaid invoice, drafts the courteous chase, flags underpriced repair orders, and reconciles billed versus collected, without ever touching a dollar.

  1. 01

Buckets the open receivable (invoiced, unpaid ROs) into current, 30, 60, and 90+ days with dollar-weighted AR days, pure math.

  2. 02

Drafts chase messages for receivables 31+ days overdue, oldest first, capped at eight, with the amount and age copied verbatim from code.

  3. 03

Runs the leakage scan on closed ROs: labor rate below the floor, discounts beyond policy, parts-only ROs with zero labor, and zero-dollar closes, each flag with a reason code and dollars at stake, queued as one daily report.

  4. 04

Computes the daily reconciliation: billed versus collected versus outstanding, with the variance, as a read-only signal.

What it reads to do the work

  • Your service orders, customers, and vehicles
  • A leakage policy (defaults: a $90/hr labor floor and a 15% maximum discount)
  • The autonomy mode you set for it (Off is fully read-only)
How you stay in control

How do I stay in control of what it does?

Every agent runs in the mode you choose, Off, Approve, or Auto, and every agent starts in Approve so a human signs off before anything happens. Here is what Finance can do, with the gate on each action, and the rails that hold in code, not in a policy document.

The actions, and their gates

  • Queue an AR chase draft you send yourselfYou approve it
  • Queue one leakage report per day for a human to verifyYou approve it
  • Compute AR aging and the daily cash close, read-onlyRead-only

The guardrails, held in code

  • No money-moving code path of any kind exists: no payments, no payouts, no transfers.
  • Customer communications are locked to drafts regardless of the autonomy dial.
  • One chase per receivable per day and one leakage report per day, idempotent.
  • Dollar amounts and days-overdue are copied verbatim by code; customer names are fenced as untrusted; unreachable customers are skipped honestly and counted.
What it will not do

What does Finance not do yet?

Every claim on this page maps to shipped, tested code, and the same discipline applies to the limits. Here is where the edge of the product is today, stated plainly, so nothing on your shop rests on a promise.

  • The reconciliation is repair-order math (billed versus collected versus outstanding); it does not connect to your bank, so it is not a bank reconciliation.
  • Warranty-claim drafting lives with the Documents agent, and cash-flow forecasting with the Strategy agent, not here.
  • The leakage policy currently judges against the standard $90/hr floor and 15% discount policy; tuning it to your posted labor rate is on the near-term list.
  • It runs when triggered, not yet on its own daily timer.
The numbers it moves

Which numbers does Finance actually move?

Only measured numbers are listed here; a metric the product does not compute does not get claimed.

  • AR days and open AR dollars
  • Collected versus billed, with the variance
  • Leakage dollars caught per scan, and chase drafts queued per run
